Fifteen years and a record for Maison Cailler
Maison Cailler is celebrating its 15th anniversary and a record 481,003 visitors in 2024, an increase of 10%. Since it opened in 2010, more than 5 million people have visited the famous chocolate museum, which is also celebrating the 150th anniversary of the invention of milk chocolate.

Berne makes its recommendations
The Swiss Confederation examined the Cailler Park in its preliminary assessment of October 2024. While it emphasised the advantages of the rail link with Fribourg and Bern, it warned that the neighbouring nature reserve needed to be protected and that the views of the cultural asset that is Broc Fabrique needed to be preserved.

The project sheet for the Cailler Chocolate Park is out for public consultation
The canton of Fribourg has drawn up a project sheet for the planned Cailler Chocolate Park to include the project in the cantonal structure plan. This document is now undergoing consultation with the population and municipalities. At the same time, it will be forwarded to the federal government for a preliminary review.

Record attendance for Maison Cailler
The Maison Cailler recorded a total of 437’640 visitors in 2023, an average of 1’200 visitors a day! This is the highest number of visitors ever recorded since the Maison Cailler opened in 2010.

Broc-Fabrique becomes Broc-Chocolaterie
Broc-Fabrique railway station will change its name to Broc-Chocolaterie on 10 December 2023. A way to encourage Maison Cailler visitors to travel to the chocolate factory by public transportation.

The chocolate park project reaches new milestones
The CAILLER Chocolate Park project is progressing according to the planning announced in 2022. The park’s scenography has been entrusted to the agencies BRC Imagination Arts and Jora Vision. Jogne Invest SA has developed an energy concept in partnership with Groupe E and has purchased the land needed to build the parking lot.

Inauguration of the Chocolat Express
The new railway line inaugurated on 26 August 2023 will connect Bern with Broc-Fabrique, the chocolate capital of the Gruyère region. This line will link the future Chocolate Park to the rail network.

The Gruyère-Chocolat Association presented the model of the CAILLER chocolate park to local residents at an information evening on October 10, 2022.
